Surveillance Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time trading activity across Kalshi’s markets using surveillance tools and data analytics
• Design, implement, and continuously improve surveillance approaches to detect market manipulation and insider trading
• Conduct in-depth investigations into anomalous or suspicious trading patterns
• Identify emerging risks and vulnerabilities in the trading environment
• Partner with engineering to recommend and implement improvements to surveillance systems and data pipelines
• Produce clear, thorough reports on surveillance activity, trends, and investigations

Requirements

• 0–4 years of experience in market surveillance, compliance, risk, or related financial services roles
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience building notebooks, analyses, and data pipelines
• Strong critical thinking and ability to analyze complex datasets
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• High ethical standards and commitment to market integrity
