Surveillance Analyst

Responsibilities

• Conduct real-time surveillance and analysis of option securities to detect potential violations of Cboe and SEC rules and policies
• Monitor Cboe trading systems in real-time to ensure continuous compliance
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the Regulatory Program and maintain internal policies and procedures
• Assist in responding to inquiries from the SEC and other regulatory bodies
• Stay updated on industry trends and contribute to the creation of new surveillance concepts to address emerging regulatory concerns
• Build and maintain a deep understanding of exchange regulatory environments, rules, technologies, and investigative techniques

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in regulatory, compliance, surveillance, or investigative functions within financial markets
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of general securities industry and derivatives markets
• Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis applications
• Strong analytical and research skills with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SMARTS Trade System Surveillance Software
• Knowledge of exchange data structures and regulatory design
