Surgical Technologist

Responsibilities

• Assist with the inaugural launch of the new Ambulatory Surgery Center, including OR setup, equipment assembly, and workflow development.
• Unbox, organize, and catalog new surgical instruments, devices, and supplies.
• Help establish sterilization, decontamination, and reprocessing workflows.
• Support regulatory and accreditation preparation for state and CMS inspections.
• Transition into standard Surgical Technologist duties once operational, including maintaining the sterile field and anticipating surgeon needs.
• Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Clean, sterilize, and reassemble instrument trays and restock operating rooms.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a perioperative, OR, PACU, or related surgical setting.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and accrediting body regulations related to ambulatory surgery centers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
• Experience in dental, oral and maxillofacial, ENT/Otolaryngology, or facial and cosmetic surgery.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
