Surgical Technologist

Responsibilities

• Assist with the inaugural launch of the new Ambulatory Surgery Center, including OR setup, equipment assembly, and instrument organization.
• Support workflow development, including the creation of sterile processing SOPs, emergency protocols, and surgeon preference cards.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment training and assist in preparing the facility for regulatory inspections and accreditation.
• Transition into standard Surgical Technologist duties once operational, including maintaining the sterile field and anticipating surgeon needs.
• Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts in collaboration with the circulating nurse.
• Clean, sterilize, and reassemble instrument trays and restock operating rooms to ensure daily readiness.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a perioperative, OR, PACU, or related surgical setting.
• Knowledge of ASC regulations and standards related to ambulatory surgery centers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• Previous experience working in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
• Experience in dental, oral/maxillofacial, ENT, or facial/cosmetic surgery.
