Surgical Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulating duties during outpatient vascular and interventional procedures.
• Assist with the preparation, setup, and maintenance of the procedure room in compliance with regulations.
• Stock procedure rooms and trays with necessary supplies and interventional equipment.
• Act as a scrub assistant to physicians during procedures under fluoroscopy, maintaining strict sterile techniques.
• Prepare and administer medications within the authorized scope of practice and state regulations.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and safe transfers to and from the procedure room.
• Clean and maintain procedure room equipment and machinery post-procedure.
• Support inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies to prevent wastage.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with HIPAA standards regarding patient confidentiality.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of related experience in a clinical or surgical setting.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and universal precautions.
• Working knowledge of interventional equipment, including C-Arm and Ultrasound equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand in a protective apron for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist Certification.
• Previous direct patient care experience.
• Experience with special procedures specifically utilizing a C-Arm.
