Paragonix Technologies markets organ transportation devices that safeguard organs during the journey between donor and recipient patients. Their product portfolio spans cardiac, thoracic, and abdominal preservation devices to improve donor organ quality and extend transport time.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical assistance and organ preservation for donor grafts
• Assist in all aspects of organ procurement including packing supplies and OR set-up using aseptic technique
• Ensure proper organ packaging per OPTN guidelines
• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and regulations
• Recover donor grafts in accordance with Transplant Advocate and Paragonix protocols
• Collaborate with Quality and Operations staff to develop best practice protocols
• Provide expert knowledge and training on the usability of Paragonix devices
• Deliver first-in-class customer service and communication with multi-discipline teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Science or equivalent experience in a transplant-related field
• Experience in pre-operative and post-operative care of transplant donor and recipient patients (minimum 20 heart and 20 lung transplants in a UNOS approved program, or 20 thoracic transplants over the last 2 years)
• Ability to safely and consistently lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to travel via private and commercial ground and air transport
• Ability to respond to an operational hub within 2 hours or a major commercial airport within 1 hour

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist
• ABTC certification as a CPT or CPTC
• Certification as a CSFA or RN FA
