Surgical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures
• Prepare instruments, materials, and equipment for procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs and provide postoperative care support
• Communicate with patients professionally in person and by phone
• Document patient encounters and surgical procedures accurately
• Maintain clean and stocked operatories and equipment
• Perform monthly office safety and compliance checks
• Maintain controlled substance safety protocols and documentation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic life support certification (training provided if needed)
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and analytical mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous dental experience
• Experience as an oral surgery or dental assistant
