About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures
- Prepare instruments, materials, and equipment required for procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with postoperative care
- Communicate with patients professionally in person and by phone
- Accurately document patient encounters and surgical procedures
- Maintain clean and stocked operatories and equipment
- Support office safety checks including crash carts, X-ray calibration, and controlled substance inventory
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic life support certification (training provided if needed)
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous dental experience
- Experience as an oral surgery assistant or dental assistant
- Some college education
