About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to patients and clients
- Assist during surgical operations, including inducing, intubating, and recovering patients
- Monitor anesthesia and maintain patient vital signs during procedures
- Create drug protocols with guidance and administer medications, drugs, and vaccines
- Perform venipuncture and IVC placement
- Conduct examinations, laboratory tests, and diagnostic imaging
- Maintain medical records, including documenting patient conditions and reactions
- Sterilize and wrap instruments and maintain a sanitary operating environment
- Manage medical supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience running anesthesia in a veterinary practice
- Experience with advanced veterinary procedures
- Ability to induce, intubate, and recover patients
- Ability to monitor anesthesia and create drug protocols
- Proficiency in performing venipuncture and IVC placement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in surgery with the use of a ventilator
- Experience with orthopedic and thoracic procedures
