About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee all account management activities to achieve strategic client service, retention, and sales objectives within the surety sector
- Manage a book of business with a focus on year-over-year growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client decision-makers and surety personnel
- Develop program designs and negotiate terms and conditions for clients
- Lead pricing and client profitability efforts while managing all client deliverables
- Lead and mentor account team members, providing direction to both servicing and broking teams
- Identify and engage expert resources and manage account renewal and cross-sell opportunities
- Review contracts and bond forms to ensure alignment of obligations
- Resolve client, surety, and vendor accounting issues, including billing and collections
Requirements
- 10+ years of surety-related and client management experience
- Proven experience in surety industry program management for small to large contractors and commercial programs
- Strong technical product knowledge and industry expertise
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and negotiation skills
- Ability to drive conflict resolution and secure concessions while maintaining relationships
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid professional licensing (or ability to obtain/maintain required licensing through continuing education)

- Surety industry designations, such as AFSB
