Surety Associate Financial Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage a portfolio of companies with existing bonding exposure
• Act as the decision-maker for new bond line requests from existing and prospective clients
• Apply underwriting principles and guidelines in accordance with bonding governance
• Perform financial analysis using income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to assess risk
• Evaluate business models and risk exposure for new and existing cover requests
• Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience within the financial services sector
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
• Strong data analysis skills and a detail-oriented approach
• Fluency in both spoken and written English
• Proficiency in analyzing primary financial statements

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous knowledge of the bonding business
