About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide coaching, education, and skill-building to support individualized housing stability and community integration.
- Deliver services using SAMHSA Evidence-Based Practices and a person-centered, trauma-informed lens.
- Screen individuals for eligibility and complete Housing Needs Assessments.
- Assist participants with developing, negotiating, and maintaining leases and housing assistance documentation.
- Provide guidance on independent living skills such as budgeting, organization, and community resource navigation.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with landlords and community partners to expand housing access.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, data collection, and reporting in compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to prepare individuals for community placement.
Requirements
- AA degree in a related field (e.g., Human Services, Social Work, Public Health, Criminal Justice).
- 2 years of experience working with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Agency Affiliated Counselor credential.
- Certified Peer Counselor Credential through WA DOH.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in a related field.
- Experience with state substance use residential treatment facility services.
- Experience working with individuals from diverse cultures.
