Supportive Housing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching, education, and skill-building to support individualized housing stability and community integration.
• Deliver services using SAMHSA Evidence-Based Practices and a person-centered, trauma-informed lens.
• Screen individuals for eligibility and complete Housing Needs Assessments.
• Assist participants with developing, negotiating, and maintaining leases and housing assistance documentation.
• Provide guidance on independent living skills such as budgeting, organization, and community resource navigation.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with landlords and community partners to expand housing access.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, data collection, and reporting in compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to prepare individuals for community placement.

Requirements

• AA degree in a related field (e.g., Human Services, Social Work, Public Health, Criminal Justice).
• 2 years of experience working with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Agency Affiliated Counselor credential.
• Certified Peer Counselor Credential through WA DOH.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field.
• Experience with state substance use residential treatment facility services.
• Experience working with individuals from diverse cultures.
