Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with individuals and update records according to guidelines
• Provide a safe environment by complying with health, safety, and security procedures, including medication management
• Support service users in daily living and provide personal care while promoting dignity and respect
• Assist service users in developing social networks and relationships
• Encourage independence and skill development in line with risk assessments
• Participate in the development, implementation, and review of personal plans
• Support service users through significant life changes or loss
• Engage in continuous training and development activities

Requirements

• Experience with UK procedures in Support Work within a residential setting
• Willingness to undertake SCQF Level 6 (equivalent to SVQ2) in Social Services and Healthcare if not already held

Preferred Qualifications

• Dementia awareness training
