About the role
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with individuals and update records according to guidelines
- Provide a safe environment by complying with health, safety, and security procedures, including medication management
- Support service users in daily living and provide personal care while promoting dignity and respect
- Assist service users in developing social networks and relationships
- Encourage independence and skill development in line with risk assessments
- Participate in the development, implementation, and review of personal plans
- Support service users through significant life changes or loss
- Engage in continuous training and development activities
Requirements
- Experience with UK procedures in Support Work within a residential setting
- Willingness to undertake SCQF Level 6 (equivalent to SVQ2) in Social Services and Healthcare if not already held
Preferred Qualifications
- Dementia awareness training
