About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide professional emotional support to service users throughout the night
- Communicate effectively with day shift staff to ensure consistency
- Access and update written and electronic records in accordance with guidelines
- Maintain a safe environment by complying with health, safety, and security procedures
- Support service users with nighttime routines and personal care
- Assist with housekeeping, food preparation, and laundry tasks
- Participate in the development and review of recovery-based support plans
Requirements
- Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
- Membership of the PVG scheme
- Ability to achieve SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare within 3 years
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Basic IT skills
Preferred Qualifications
- SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare
- Food Hygiene certificate
- Experience with electronic care management systems (e-mars)
- Experience managing challenging behavior or lone working
