Support Worker - Very Sheltered Housing Services

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with service users and maintain accurate records
• Provide a safe environment by complying with health, safety, and security procedures
• Support daily living and provide personal care with dignity and respect
• Assist service users in maintaining social networks and relationships
• Encourage independence and skill development with reference to risk assessments
• Participate in developing, implementing, and reviewing personal plans
• Support service users through significant life changes or loss
• Carry out reasonable tasks within capabilities and work within internal control systems

Requirements

• Ability to communicate verbally with individuals
• Ability to write short reports and maintain accurate records
• Basic IT skills
• Record keeping and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to use initiative and remain calm under pressure
• Strong organisational and interpretation skills
• Flexibility to work across Aberdeen and in the community
• Availability for early/evening shifts and every 2nd weekend on a 7-day rota
