About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and compassionate support to clients at the Windsor Centre of Hope, ensuring care for their spirit, body, and mind.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of client case plans and report progress to the Program Manager.
  • Assist with medication monitoring, including ordering and recording via e-MAR or manual systems.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and support clients in developing problem-solving and coping skills.
  • Perform building safety checks, nighttime bed checks, and ensure the security of staff and residents.
  • Manage clerical duties including data entry, maintaining client records, and answering telephones.
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

Requirements

  • Secondary School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a support or social service role.
  • Valid G2 or G driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certificate and WHMIS certificate.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector screening.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with data management systems.
  • Ability to lift/move 20 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and stooping.

Preferred Qualifications

  • University degree, college diploma, or certificate in counseling or a related field.
