About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide day, afternoon, and overnight supervision of residents to ensure safety and adherence to service guidelines.
- Establish and maintain professional, person-centered relationships with clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Support clients with practical needs, including food services, appointment assistance, and referrals to case managers.
- Monitor resident wellbeing and respond appropriately to challenging or complex behaviours.
- Complete administrative tasks, including updating client notes, handovers, and service records using Microsoft-based systems.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the facility to ensure a well-presented communal environment.
Requirements
- Qualification in Community Services or a related field, or demonstrated industry experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience in support work, ideally within homelessness, mental health, AOD, or domestic violence contexts.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and strong cultural awareness.
- First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Full Driver Licence with no restrictions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for administrative tasks and case noting.
- Physical capacity to perform light cleaning and site duties, including standing for extended periods and carrying loads up to 15kg.
- Availability to work evening, overnight, and weekend shifts as part of a 24-hour service.
