Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, person-centred support to participants, including assistance with appointments, transport, and day-to-day needs.
• Support participants with intake, registration, and necessary paperwork to ensure smooth access to services.
• Assist with the implementation of case plans that are sensitive to cultural strengths and individual needs.
• Conduct participant inductions and provide outreach support as required.
• Participate in group work and basic life skills coaching to support individuals and families.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and promote effective service delivery.

Requirements

• Relevant diploma or certificate in a related field.
• Current valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a driver's licence.
• Strong listening skills and a positive, person-centred approach.
• Basic administrative, written, and verbal communication skills, including familiarity with databases and mobile technology.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures and work collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
