About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, client-centred support within a residential setting using trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication access
  • Respond to emergencies by accessing required internal or external support services
  • Coordinate client attendance at various programs, services, and community meetings
  • Provide general supervision of clients to ensure a safe and supportive environment
  • Collaborate with Unit Coordinators and staff to monitor client progress and coordination
  • Perform administrative tasks, including shift checks and managing petty cash, rent payments, and occupation fees

Requirements

  • Relevant experience working in homelessness services and residential settings
  • Comprehensive understanding of the needs and issues faced by service users, particularly those experiencing homelessness
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to pass a national police history check and referee checks
  • Valid clearance to work with children and vulnerable people
