About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs
  • Support clients to live safely, develop independence, and engage in community activities
  • Assist with daily living, home maintenance, and accessing local services
  • Deliver clinical support where trained, including tracheostomy care, cough assist, and PEG feeding
  • Follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and safeguarding protocols

Requirements

  • Calm, resilient, and compassionate approach to support work
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Previous experience in care or support is desirable but not essential
  • For some roles: valid manual driving licence and willingness to drive a motability car
  • Commitment to completing paid induction and specialist training

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs
  • Familiarity with Positive Behaviour Support and active support techniques
  • Clinical care experience such as tracheostomy or PEG feeding (training provided)
