About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support women and families experiencing crisis
  • Provide emotional support and crisis intervention
  • Assist with safety and housing planning
  • Facilitate meaningful activities for families
  • Engage children through age-appropriate activities
  • Maintain accurate records and customer data
  • Support Centre duties, safety and cleanliness
  • Liaise with agencies and government departments

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Knowledge of family and domestic violence
  • Strong communication, advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Ability to prioritise competing work demands
  • Experience supporting women and children in crisis
  • National Police Clearance issued within the last three months
