About the role
Responsibilities
- Support women and families experiencing crisis
- Provide emotional support and crisis intervention
- Assist with safety and housing planning
- Facilitate meaningful activities for families
- Engage children through age-appropriate activities
- Maintain accurate records and customer data
- Support Centre duties, safety and cleanliness
- Liaise with agencies and government departments
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
- Knowledge of family and domestic violence
- Strong communication, advocacy and negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritise competing work demands
- Experience supporting women and children in crisis
- National Police Clearance issued within the last three months
