Support Technologist

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, troubleshoot, and install secure telephones (ViPers) and encryptors
• Perform software upgrades, including building utilities and tools from source code
• Execute hardware additions, changes, and upgrades
• Track all accountable cryptographic equipment within the COMSEC database system
• Manage all classified and unclassified physical and electronic cryptographic keys

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Current COMSEC training and certification
• Certification as a ViPer installer
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio
• Active DOE Q-level security clearance (or equivalent such as SCI or DoD Top Secret) at the time of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• System Administration experience
• Network experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network switches and routers
• Experience with Arista and Juniper equipment
• Knowledge of communication security (COMSEC) cryptographic equipment
