Support Teacher

Responsibilities

• Partner with classroom teachers to provide academic, behavioral, social, and emotional support
• Lead small-group ELA instruction using provided lesson plans and materials
• Reinforce classroom expectations and school-wide behavior systems
• Support students during transitions and maintain a safe learning environment
• Complete assigned staff duties such as lunch or recess coverage
• Collaborate with staff to monitor and communicate student progress
• Participate in team meetings, coaching, and professional development

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited institution (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Experience working with school-aged children in a school or youth-serving setting preferred
• Deep belief in the potential of all students
• Interest in developing instructional skills and pursuing teacher certification
