About the role

Responsibilities

  • Accurately register samples for analytical tests using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Perform tasks in accordance with documented methodologies and procedures
  • Conduct daily quality control checks and instrument calibrations
  • Communicate effectively with team leaders regarding sample processing issues
  • Manage customer queries via phone, email, or in person
  • Collaborate with the laboratory team to ensure smooth workflow and sample prioritization
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure correct waste disposal
  • Complete all paperwork clearly, accurately, and legibly

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (grades 9-4) including Science, English, and Mathematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and the ability to prioritize tasks independently
  • Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach
  • Basic IT literacy and familiarity with laboratory environments
  • Understanding of Health & Safety procedures, including PPE use and chemical handling
  • Commitment to maintaining ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17025:2017 quality standards
