Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex, high-impact bugs, including JVM/memory leaks and database performance bottlenecks.
• Develop internal scripts and tools to automate diagnostics and accelerate time-to-resolution.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between product, engineering, and client teams.
• Troubleshoot software and infrastructure issues by debugging large codebases using tools like GitHub and Kubernetes.
• Identify requirements and design solution architectures to meet business and technical needs.
• Write detailed documentation and runbooks to enable client self-service and improve team efficiency.
• Analyze processes to recommend simplifications within Service Management.
• Coach and guide Engineers and Service Management staff.

Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Application and Infrastructure Support, Incident Management, and Cloud Operations.
• Proven experience within the Banking domain.
• Proficiency in .NET or similar technology stacks.
• Advanced expertise in relational databases and SQL (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Strong knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Practical experience with Cloud Operations (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of the DevSecOps model.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of or experience in the lending domain.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks like React or Angular.
• Mastery of various engineering and development tool suites.
