Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Handle customer support requests that lack prescribed instructions in documentation
• Determine proper escalation paths for novel issues through diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Use scripting languages to investigate customer issues
• Own customer support requests end-to-end, including qualification, triage, and resolution tracking
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the knowledge base
• Respond to automated system alerts and raise stakeholder awareness
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers' technical teams

Requirements

• Experience in technical support, help desk, or customer-facing technical operations
• Proficiency in Linux environments
• Experience with containerization and Docker
• Proficiency in bash/shell scripting
• Working knowledge of a scripting language such as JavaScript or Python
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work on-site five days a week in Vienna, VA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with software testing or quality assurance
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience querying data via SQL, NoSQL, or other query engines
