About the role

Responsibilities

  • Investigate issues logged by customers and recommend resolution options
  • Liaise with customers via telephone and desktop sharing to aid investigations
  • Ensure delivery against agreed customer service levels
  • Manage and maintain the accuracy and status of tickets in the centralized service desk
  • Provide 3rd level code investigation for issues
  • Define high-level requirements for customer enhancement requests
  • Undertake development of enhancement requests and perform QA on coding changes
  • Participate in on-call and shift arrangements as required

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in customer service, application support, or application development
  • Mandatory COBOL development experience
  • Strong technical background in iSeries and iSeries OS/400
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to commute to Guernsey, Jersey, London, or Fleet offices at least 2 days a week

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Visual Basic 6, Java, or RPG
  • Practical Financial Services industry experience, specifically in Wealth Management
