About the role
Responsibilities
- Investigate issues logged by customers and recommend resolution options
- Liaise with customers via telephone and desktop sharing to aid investigations
- Ensure delivery against agreed customer service levels
- Manage and maintain the accuracy and status of tickets in the centralized service desk
- Provide 3rd level code investigation for issues
- Define high-level requirements for customer enhancement requests
- Undertake development of enhancement requests and perform QA on coding changes
- Participate in on-call and shift arrangements as required
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in customer service, application support, or application development
- Mandatory COBOL development experience
- Strong technical background in iSeries and iSeries OS/400
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to commute to Guernsey, Jersey, London, or Fleet offices at least 2 days a week
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Visual Basic 6, Java, or RPG
- Practical Financial Services industry experience, specifically in Wealth Management
