About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist Case Workers and Team Leaders with practical supports including client intake, exits, and meal provisions
- Respond to crisis situations in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Record all client interactions in MA Connect using accurate and non-judgemental language
- Ensure client safety by adhering to correct policies and completing necessary assessments
- Complete detailed shift logs to provide an accurate account of incidents and client support
- Assist with routine tasks such as linking clients with support agencies and maintaining facility cleanliness
Requirements
- Associate Diploma in Community Services or equivalent experience/qualifications
- Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of disadvantage
- Strong listening and engagement skills with the ability to build professional relationships
- Proficient written communication skills for completing client paperwork and case notes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy for data entry
- Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster (afternoons, evenings, and weekends)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current driver's licence
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
