About the role
Responsibilities
- Review parts and service requests for accuracy and communicate with maintenance shops
- Research parts and services to prepare Requests for Quote (RFQs)
- Order parts using various methods and track order status and delivery
- Coordinate with vendors regarding scheduling, documentation, and receiving
- Verify received materials against documents and report any discrepancies or damages
- Update spreadsheets, databases, and digital folders with daily status updates
- Prepare purchase card reconciliations and follow up on CostPoint requisitions
- Drive a pickup truck to collect parts from off-site locations as needed
- Maintain organized paperwork and comply with all APS-3 regulations and safety standards
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to pass a background check for local base access and obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience in purchasing or logistics
- Familiarity with military and commercial equipment maintenance (e.g., HMMWVs, forklifts, generators)
- Proficiency in MS Office and general computer usage
- Valid Real ID State Driver’s License
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of CostPoint or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Experience with G-Army, Deltek, or other logistics databases
- Working knowledge of the Army class of supply system and National Stock Numbers (NSN)
- Background as a mechanic to better understand technical terminology
