About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform inventory management, storage, and cataloging of supplies and equipment to support U.S. Naval Air Station maintenance operations.
- Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting any discrepancies or damages.
- Manage material coordination for special programs, maintenance, or production shops.
- Execute warehousing duties including stacking, palletizing, and routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
- Handle hazardous materials and waste in accordance with MSDS and local governing directives.
- Perform Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) and Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) program requirements.
- Track and reconcile daily fuel expenditures and perform monthly/fiscal year financial close-outs.
- Maintain tool control, aircraft parts orders, and flight gear inventories.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of material or supply experience in military or commercial applications.
- US Citizenship is required for facility credentials and authorization.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a government driving permit (including forklift).
- Ability to pass and maintain a security clearance.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting 40-50 pounds and working in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with aviation maintenance procurement systems such as NALCOMIS, OOMA, or FEDLOG.
- Previous experience working in a military supply environment.
