About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, including the secure and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods using FIFO/FEFO practices.
- Coordinate daily shipments, deliveries, and pickups to optimize staff, fleet, and facility resources.
- Supervise and develop warehouse staff, drivers, and volunteers by assigning work and driving performance against productivity targets.
- Direct logistics and fleet operations, ensuring compliance with CVOR, MTO standards, and vehicle maintenance requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels for food, toys, and MRO to ensure continuity of supply and address shortages.
- Enforce food safety, handling, and expiry standards to meet regulatory guidelines.
- Champion health and safety programs by implementing policies and ensuring full compliance with organizational standards.
Requirements
- College diploma in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation/fleet management and/or warehouse operations.
- Proven leadership experience supervising staff, drivers, and volunteers.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License with a satisfactory abstract.
- Working knowledge of CVOR, Ministry of Transportation (MTO) standards, and Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and supply chain/logistics management systems.
- Ability to obtain DZ license, Forklift certification, and Safe Food Handling certification within required timelines.
