About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor staff attendance and ensure correct PPE usage
- Oversee employee training and ensure departmental KPIs are achieved
- Manage departmental SOP adherence and process compliance
- Ensure Health and Safety regulations and housekeeping standards are met
- Manage departmental overtime and daily registers
- Provide daily feedback to the Shift Manager regarding KPIs, staff complement, and training
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months experience in a Logistics/Distribution environment
- Grade 12 qualification
- Beginner computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong numeric and verbal reasoning ability
- Basic knowledge of Labour Legislation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing teams of approximately 10 employees
- Strong understanding of warehouse and operational environments
