Supply Chain Specialist

Responsibilities

• Oversee and plan all aspects of purchasing from pre-bid to closeout
• Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with equipment vendors, material vendors, and subcontractors
• Represent the company in formulating policies and negotiating contracts to minimize project and corporate risk
• Monitor and oversee the execution of the purchasing buyout
• Evaluate and qualify vendor materials, equipment, and professional service providers
• Process requisitions and prepare purchase orders for supplies and equipment
• Provide detailed risk assessments and mitigation strategies regarding project cost, schedule, and quality
• Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims
• Coordinate with the material management department to ensure proper receiving and control

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, construction management, engineering, or an equivalent degree
• Minimum of three years of experience in engineering, construction, or a related field
• Proven experience in vendor and subcontractor management, including selection and performance management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Knowledge of equipment and materials common in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or other enterprise database utilization
