Supply Chain Services Program Technician

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire Operating Room (OR) surgical supply chain, including inventory forecasting and PAR level management.
• Coordinate physician preference devices and manage device availability between storage and the OR.
• Advise on procedure frequency to determine PAR levels, prebuilds, and component inventory forecasting.
• Review surgery schedules to advise hospital personnel on appropriate supply ordering.
• Manage the change process for devices and handle par level replenishment for SurgiTrack components.
• Process device returns from the OR to hospital locations or distributors.
• Work with suppliers to integrate new products, changes, and contracts into the system.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of experience in healthcare surgical services, logistics materials management, or project management.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, terminology, and OR etiquette.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and the ability to learn specialized hospital management systems.
• Ability to translate scheduled procedure names into specific supply requirements.
• Strong attention to detail to discern errors within complex and detailed workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in healthcare or a related field.
• CRCST (Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician) or CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification.
• Experience with LEAN or other project/organizational management methodologies.
