About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire Operating Room (OR) surgical supply chain, including inventory forecasting and PAR level management.
- Coordinate physician preference devices and manage device availability between storage and the OR.
- Advise on procedure frequency to determine PAR levels, prebuilds, and component inventory forecasting.
- Review surgery schedules to advise hospital personnel on appropriate supply ordering.
- Manage the change process for devices and handle par level replenishment for SurgiTrack components.
- Process device returns from the OR to hospital locations or distributors.
- Work with suppliers to integrate new products, changes, and contracts into the system.
Requirements
- 3 or more years of experience in healthcare surgical services, logistics materials management, or project management.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, terminology, and OR etiquette.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and the ability to learn specialized hospital management systems.
- Ability to translate scheduled procedure names into specific supply requirements.
- Strong attention to detail to discern errors within complex and detailed workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in healthcare or a related field.
- CRCST (Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician) or CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification.
- Experience with LEAN or other project/organizational management methodologies.
