Supply Chain Operations Manager - CNC Machine Shop

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end operations for the CNC machine shop.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices.
• Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Plan and prioritize work schedules, manage capacity, and track KPIs such as scrap, rework, and OEE to meet delivery deadlines.
• Guide CNC programmers and machinists through complex setups, part routing, and tool path optimization.
• Ensure all manufactured components meet strict tolerance specifications and quality standards, including AS9100 or ISO 9001.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor a diverse team of employees to foster an inclusive and high-performing culture.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a machine shop environment.
• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience and 5+ years of management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience providing guidance and coaching to direct and indirect reports.
• Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and relevant manufacturing software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status) due to export control laws.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving measurable results.
• Continuous improvement mindset with experience in lean manufacturing or similar methodologies.
