About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage daily ordering, tracking, receiving, and verification of products for Duke Medical System hospitals and clinical staff.
- Perform weekly physical inventory counts for wound closure products using the PANDACT solution.
- Identify excess inventory, process returns, and manage credits according to company procedures.
- Reorganize, re-sequence, and label stocking locations to ensure efficient SKU management and productive counts.
- Maintain departmental stocking locations according to quarterly report standards, including inventory turnover and inactive item reports.
- Assist in preparing quarterly reports and recommend improvements for storage consolidation and inventory reduction.
- Provide high-quality customer service and maintain communication with nursing staff, supply chain teams, and leadership.
Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage projects independently through to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
- CRCST or CST certification (Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician or Certified Surgical Technologist).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare surgical services, logistics, or materials management.
- Experience with LEAN or other project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of wound closure products (sutures, needles, endomechanical products).
- Exposure to inventory management software, such as Qsight.
