Supply Chain Material Planner - Service

Responsibilities

• Manage component and purchase parts communications to support the Master Production Schedule
• Coordinate with internal customers including Warehouse, NA plants, and Troy to meet schedules
• Create customer demand forecasts and oversee planning parameters within the SAP ERP system
• Optimize component inventory levels and support supplier EDI processes
• Manage inbound freight costs using Third Party Logistics providers, including international freight
• Ensure on-time delivery of ordered items and issue SNCRs to suppliers for past due items
• Assist with engineering change transitions to minimize obsolescence and manage new part/supplier processes
• Audit warehouse and supermarkets for accuracy based on PFEP data
• Manage service production planning and coordinate changeovers with the main plant

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Supply Chain Logistics environment
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the SAP system
• Experience with problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Whys

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior customer interface experience
• Hands-on experience with Lean Shop Floor systems
• APICS certification
• Experience with OEM systems
