Supply Chain Manager

General Matter enriches uranium. We are designing, building, and operating the world’s lowest-cost enrichment services, here in the US, to restore America’s ability to produce nuclear fuel for AI, advanced manufacturing, and critical industries.

Responsibilities

• Source and qualify suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and specialty hardware components
• Lead RFQs, negotiate pricing/terms, and drive cost-down initiatives
• Manage supplier performance metrics including on-time delivery and quality
• Oversee purchasing, inventory levels, lead times, and inbound logistics
• Maintain accurate demand forecasts and procurement plans for hardware builds
• Partner with engineering to define BOMs and establish part specifications
• Set up foundational tools such as ERP/MRP and purchasing workflows

Requirements

• 4–8+ years of supply chain, procurement, or sourcing experience
• Experience in hardware, devices, or manufacturing environments
• Proven experience owning procurement strategies and negotiating with suppliers
• Strong understanding of hardware development cycles
• Analytical mindset with comfort in spreadsheets, ERP/MRP systems, and BOM tools
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience setting up or optimizing ERP/MRP systems in a startup environment
• Familiarity with global logistics, customs, and compliance
• Background working with contract manufacturers or hardware suppliers
• Mechanical or electrical engineering familiarity
