Supply Chain Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the full procurement lifecycle from sourcing and RFQs to negotiation, PO issuance, and on-time delivery
• Build and manage the supplier base from the ground up, including vendor qualification and strategic partnerships
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing to support NPI and DFM reviews
• Collaborate with software engineering to develop modules for the homegrown ERP system
• Hold suppliers accountable for cost, quality, and delivery
• Build commodity strategies for machined components, raw materials, electronics, and fabrication services
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans
• Drive cost reduction through should-cost modeling and competitive sourcing
• Collaborate with finance and legal on contract structures and vendor agreements
• Lay the foundation for the supply chain organization, including playbooks and future hiring

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, supply chain, or operations management
• 5+ years of supply chain or procurement experience in a manufacturing-intensive industry
• Proven track record in technical procurement of machined parts, raw materials, or electronics
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing commercial relationships
• Experience operating within ERP/MRP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Fishbowl)

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOMs
• Background in additive manufacturing or advanced materials
• Familiarity with defense or aerospace supply chains (ITAR, AS9100)
• Experience with should-cost modeling and TCO analysis
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; SQL or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) are a plus
