About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the full life cycle of component procurement, from vendor selection through delivery and installation
- Oversee all indirect purchasing, including software, machinery, and employee benefits
- Partner with engineering and operations teams on sourcing strategies, supplier roadmaps, and cost trade-off analyses
- Analyze current spend and evaluate suppliers to consolidate spend and identify new high-potential vendors
- Lead RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes, ensuring all commercial terms are documented and agreed upon
- Negotiate NDAs, SOWs, and Master Purchase Agreements
- Monitor market conditions and technology roadmaps to identify supply/demand challenges and opportunities
- Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that achieve sustainable supplier relationships and business objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a similar discipline
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in procurement, manufacturing, or related supply chain disciplines
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing high-volume logistics
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with engineering and operations teams
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual as defined by export regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and inventory/asset management systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and datasheets
