Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, supplier management, inventory control, and logistics
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities in a manufacturing setting
- Lead procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services
- Develop and manage supplier relationships and evaluate performance using key metrics
- Oversee material planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other government contracting regulations
- Maintain procurement documentation and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits (DCAA)
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to support production readiness
- Support proposal efforts with cost estimates and lead time analysis
- Drive process improvements and implement best practices across supply chain functions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of supply chain, procurement, or purchasing experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government contracting requirements
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Costpoint, SAP, Oracle)
- Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics within manufacturing
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with DCAA compliance and audit requirements
- Experience supporting DoD programs or government contracts
- CPSM, CPIM, or related supply chain certification
