Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, supplier management, inventory control, and logistics
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities in a manufacturing setting
  • Lead procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships and evaluate performance using key metrics
  • Oversee material planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other government contracting regulations
  • Maintain procurement documentation and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits (DCAA)
  • Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to support production readiness
  • Support proposal efforts with cost estimates and lead time analysis
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices across supply chain functions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of supply chain, procurement, or purchasing experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government contracting requirements
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Costpoint, SAP, Oracle)
  • Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer
  • 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics within manufacturing
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with DCAA compliance and audit requirements
  • Experience supporting DoD programs or government contracts
  • CPSM, CPIM, or related supply chain certification
