Supply Chain Director

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategy aligned with plant objectives
• Lead multi-functional teams in procurement, logistics, inventory control, warehousing, and supplier quality
• Manage domestic and global supplier relationships
• Oversee demand forecasting, MRP, safety stock levels, and inventory optimization
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective material flow
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as lean, Six Sigma, and value stream mapping
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and sustainability standards
• Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and finance teams
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and KPIs
• Mentor and develop supply chain team talent

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• 10–15 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing or EV/automotive industries
• Experience managing global supply chains, sourcing strategy, logistics, and inventory management
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Willingness to be based in Manteno, IL, with occasional travel

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA degree
• EV battery manufacturing experience
