Supply Chain Commodity Manager

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier performance and provide management-level support for Buyers and Sr. Buyers
• Lead special projects including DPAS coordination and industry audits
• Serve as the Supply Chain lead on Legal and Trade Compliance issues
• Assess and mitigate supplier risk and identify alternative sources of supply
• Lead supplier Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs) and mentor junior procurement staff
• Identify and develop new sources of supply to support company growth
• Lead the creation and maintenance of supplier contracts and Long-Term Agreements (LTAs)
• Conduct onsite supplier visits to monitor capacity, quality, and delivery (up to 25% travel)
• Identify cost savings opportunities and lead advanced pricing and schedule negotiations

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a Supply Chain or Procurement Management role
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience managing commodities such as machined metal parts, COTS, and custom cable assemblies
• Strong understanding of BOM structures, MTS drawings, and documentation
• Knowledge of PLM, configuration management, and DPAS flow-down requirements
• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., ISO, AS9100)
• Proficiency with Oracle NetSuite or an equivalent ERP system
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
