Supply Chain Buyer

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase electronic and mechanical components based on BOM requirements
• Own the NPI purchasing process for engineering test builds
• Manage purchase orders with contract manufacturers and suppliers to mitigate risks
• Maintain inventory accuracy in ERP systems including safety stock and consumption tracking
• Perform receiving, inspection, and kitting of parts for critical builds
• Analyze supply chain data and purchase price variances to drive efficiency
• Build spreadsheet models for BOMs, budgets, and forecasting
• Partner with production, logistics, and finance teams to align material readiness

Requirements

• 3+ years of purchasing and supply chain experience in hardware-focused industries
• Proven experience owning end-to-end purchasing processes
• History of purchasing EEE components
• Advanced Excel/Sheets skills including pivot tables and index-match
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or ION
• Ability to interpret multi-level BOMs and technical drawings
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a startup or New Space environment
• Familiarity with PCB assembly processes and electrical components
• Familiarity with IPC standards
• Exposure to qualifying parts to MIL-STD-883 / 810 or NASA 8739 standards
• Knowledge of environmental test flows like HTOL, vibration, or thermal-vac
