Supply Assurance Buyer II

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for goods and services required to support manufacturing processes.
• Manage supplier relationships to optimize supply chain efficiency and ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor inventory and stock levels to support production goals and mitigate shortages.
• Actively manage workflows within the SAP system and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Coordinate with scheduling and manufacturing teams to process expedites and address urgent chemical shortages.
• Evaluate stocking levels and participate in supplier audits or business reviews.
• Process Return to Vendor (RTV) actions for non-conforming materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or production planning.
• Proven experience expediting and issuing purchase orders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.
• Full knowledge of the principles and theories of purchasing and materials management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using SAP.
• Coursework towards CPM and/or CPIM certification.
