Supply Assurance Buyer

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for goods and services to support manufacturing requirements
• Manage supplier relationships to optimize supply chain efficiency and ensure on-time delivery
• Monitor inventory and stock levels to support production and inventory goals
• Actively manage workflow within the SAP system
• Identify and resolve potential supply problems and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Work with the scheduling team to process expedites as necessary to support production
• Process Return to Vendor (RTV) requests for non-conforming materials
• Maintain accurate files and records related to all purchasing activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or production planning
• Proven experience expediting and issuing purchase orders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Windows, and Teams
• Full knowledge and application of the principles and theories of purchasing and materials management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with SAP
• Coursework towards CPM and/or CPIM certification
