Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide direct international supplier support for quality issues regarding series components
• Monitor and continuously optimize the quality performance of series suppliers
• Support task-force teams to improve quality performance and ensure error protection
• Manage complaints and coordinate immediate corrective actions (including on-site at suppliers)
• Handle 8D reporting, tracking, and validation of implemented measures
• Manage escalation processes and steer suppliers through quality programs
• Conduct supplier audits (e.g., VDA 6.3) and support quality-relevant process changes and approvals

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• Several years of professional experience in quality engineering
• Knowledge of problem-solving techniques, metrology, and VDA/IATF/AIAG standards
• VDA 6.3 Process Auditor certification
• Fluent English skills (written and spoken)
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
• Knowledge of the die-casting process is an advantage
