Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct handling of non-conforming or suspect incoming goods and manage the claim process with sub-suppliers, including 8D report follow-ups.
• Conduct supplier PPAP approvals for intercompany and support approvals for external suppliers.
• Oversee incoming inspection processes according to company procedures.
• Perform process audits at supplier sites following VDA 6.3, BMW GS90018, or VW Formel Q standards.
• Lead core teams to review and update incoming control plans and check sheets.
• Monitor and analyze supplier non-conformities and overall performance on a monthly basis.
• Provide training to incoming inspectors and serve as a local process expert for SAP operations.

Requirements

• University or college degree in engineering.
• 3 years of quality assurance experience specifically within the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP is highly desired.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 quality management requirements.
• Expertise in product and process auditing according to VDA 6.3/6.5.
• Mastery of automotive core tools: FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA.
• Fluent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong supplier communication and relationship management skills.
