Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Interface with plant personnel to resolve chronic or major supplier issues and verify process/product requirement understanding
• Manage quality control projects to ensure suspect supplier parts are contained from production
• Review engineering specifications and drawings to ensure supplier compliance
• Monitor supplier corrective action plans and track supplier PPM
• Assist purchasing and engineering departments with Supplier Review and Acceptance issues
• Review and approve supplier PPAP submissions
• Resolve supplier quality issues using appropriate problem-solving methodologies and report on 8D status
• Lead internal resources to drive and track effective measurement of supplier PPM

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• 2-4+ years of related experience
• Knowledge of SAP
• Lead Auditor experience for IATF 16949
• Hands-on experience with AIAG PPAP requirements and submission processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related field
• Hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing
