Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in supplier process reviews, quality audits, control plan development, and gage studies.
• Manage initial and sustaining part qualification and approval activities based on component criticality.
• Lead supplier quality assessments and participate in supplier qualification and selection activities.
• Develop, analyze, and report on quality performance metrics regarding supplier performance.
• Identify opportunities for supplier development and drive corrective actions through root cause analysis.
• Initiate, review, and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) until effective implementation is verified.
• Resolve quality issues with suppliers and work with cross-functional teams to ensure incoming materials meet specifications.
• Support lean initiatives to improve production output and implement supplier quality improvement plans.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or a related field, or significant direct experience in quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including 8D, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and SPC.
• Experience conducting supplier process and system audits aligned with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving techniques, and standard office software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present to various organizational levels.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally.
